Brief Introduction of Mount Moreh Public Higher Secondary School
Mount Moreh Public Higher Secondary School, Moreh is located at Canan Veng, Moreh Ward No. 7, Moreh, Tengnoupal District, Manipur, India. Moreh is a border town located in the easternmost zone of the state of Manipur in India, bordering Myanmar on the other side. It is a Christian minority school.
Mount Moreh Public Higher Secondary School is upgraded from Mount Moreh Public School, a high school under the Board of Secondary Education Manipur. The school was established in 1995 by Dr. S.L Lunzapau Vaiphei, a visionary leader and educationist. The school has been run by the Managing Board, Mount Moreh Public School. The society was registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 on 20th June 1995. The school was granted provisional recognition by the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur in 2011 through its office order G/54 (Vol. IV) dated 18th March 2011. The recognition number of the school is 97953. The school was granted permission to send up candidate for the H.S.L.C Examination 2012 w.e.f the academic session 2011-2012. Director of Education (S) through its order No7/27/2026DE(s) dated 19th June 2025 granted provisional registration of the school bearing registration number TPL/001/Nur-X/25.
The high school has a long-standing testimony of providing quality education to many denizens of Moreh and its surrounding areas. As the need for opening higher secondary section arises it is being upgraded to Mount Moreh Public Higher Secondary School this current academic year that is 2025-2026. For the current academic year admission to Class XI is open only for Arts and Science Streams.
