General Norms
(i) Working Days and Hours:
It is a day school. Regular classes will be held from Monday to Friday. The class timing is from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
(ii) Medium of Instruction and Communication:
Mount Moreh Public Higher Secondary School, Moreh is an English Medium School. The Students and Teachers of the school will converse only in English in the school premises, and at other outdoor programs conducted outside by the school. Exception is made only for MIL classes and related activities where the use of vernacular is necessary.
(iii) Absence and Leave:
Absence with prior information and leave is not permitted except when the cause is sudden illness or untoward incidents. No leave of absence will be sanctioned nor will a student be allowed to go away from the school during the school hours without a prior written application for leave from his/her guardian, stating the valid reasons. Birthdays, Excursions, Festivals, Urgent Business, time to study for Examination etc. are not sufficient reasons for leave.
(iv) Test/Exams:
1. For the purpose of evaluation and to provide quality education, the school conducts Subject Enrichment Sessions, Class Tests/Chapter tests and Periodic Assessments as the need arises. Due to any unforeseen circumstances, if tests/exams are not held on scheduled date, the same will be held on the next working day, unless otherwise notified. Absence from all this type of tests will have adverse effect on promotion (XI promotion exam) or appearance in the public exam (HSSLC exam).
2. Unfair means in the exams/tests is strictly prohibited. Students indulging in those will severely be dealt with.
3. On matters of promotion and detention the principal's decision shall be final.
(v) Mobile Phones:
Use of Mobile phones by students within the school campus without permission from the competent authority is strictly prohibited.
(vi) Substance Abuse:
The campus is a drug free campus. Smoking, alcoholic drinks and drugs are strictly forbidden within and outside the campus.
(vii) Vacations:
The school follows the Council of Higher Secondary School, Manipur (COHSEM) academic calender. Vacations will be declared accordingly.
viii) Extra Co-curricular activities:
Mount Moreh Public Higher Secondary School, Moreh believes in all round development of students. For this the school organized co-curricular activities such as games and sports, literary meet, cultural programmes, skill development workshops, career guidance seminars, personality and leadership skill development workshops and so on. Students are highly encouraged to take part in all relevant events suitable or require for them.
School Uniform
1. Boys: Navy blue (Pants), off white shirt, necktie (brought from school), black shoes and white socks. For all (Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday and Thursday).
2. Girls: Navy blue wrapper with stripes, off white shirt, black shoes and white socks. For all (Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday and Thursday).
3. For All (Friday): School T-shirt for all.
